The following procedure will be of help to the Altar Guild:

  • Please individually wrap each loaf in saran wrap so the unused, unconsecrated bread can be frozen for emergency use. This will help with separating the loaves and prevent freezer burn.
  • Bread needs to be placed in the Fireplace Room refrigerator in a Ziploc bag, marked with the service date and baker’s name, by the end of the day on Saturday, and Friday works too. Since the Altar Guild team changes from week to week, this is where each team leader will be looking for the bread. Any bread that is not there for set up at 7:00am on Sunday will be replaced with thawed bread from the freezer and the previously frozen bread will be used that day.
  • I will send a reminder email to the bread baker each week. If you switch with someone, please let me know as I want to send the email to the correct person.
  • Each Altar Guild team lead will receive an electronic copy of this schedule so they know whose bread to look for in the refrigerator.

We have some special services in addition to 13 Sundays, so I have scheduled a few people more than once this quarter.

If you aren't able to bake on your assigned date, please trade with someone else. It usually works to just send an email to the group asking for someone to trade.  Please email me with your changes so I can make sure the correct baker’s name is listed in the service leaflet.
