Children's Choir

Children - If: like to sing or want to learn to sing would like to share with us your musical gifts or play an instrument would like to have some fun with a great group of kids while learning to love and worship God

Then join the Children of the Spirit - 'COTS!

‘cots is both an acronym and a reference to our church in the apricot orchard.  Children from about 6 to 13 years old meet weekly during the school year before the 10:30 service to rehearse.  ‘cots sings during the service and for special occasions through the year.  Over the years, this small but mighty choir has performed at many events, including the Fourth of July talent cook-off, a special evening Epiphany performance (as an opening act for the performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors), a Sunday service at Sunnyview Retirement  Community, and a full-length Christmas musical, No Wonder!   They have sung with the adult choir on several occasions as well, most recently Hope for Resolution as part of the celebration of Wilma's new ministry.

As with many youth-related activities, attendance rises and falls depending on the ages of the children in the parish. Parents and children interested in singing with ‘cots:  Please contact Terri Hoornstra or Ellen Kolstee.
