PACT Solidarity Network
Dear members of St Jude's,
At our vestry meeting in December, we started a courageous conversation about what faithful actions we can take to love others as Christ loved us, support those who are afraid or feel in danger. Through our connection to our community organizing network PACT, we have been invited to join a Solidarity Network, of congregations and schools to resist division and hate, and to protect the safety and wellbeing of our neighbors including, immigrants, Muslims, and other vulnerable and marginalized people. Bishop Mary supports this network, and all the clergy of St Jude’s and many Episcopal clergy in our deanery have joined. This can be done as individuals and as a parish. Some of you have already joined it.
This is an invitation for those who are interested to join as individuals. Click on the link and you can select which actions you will support as an individual. There are two options about Sanctuary for congregational response, (don't select those!) which we will continue to discuss in the next weeks and months.
Many blessings and deep peace at this time,
Wilma Jakobsen, Jeffrey Pugh and Mary Hultquist, and the vestry members.
Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome here.
