Rector Search

We are very pleased to announce we have called a new Rector for St. Jude’s, the Rev. Aaron Klinefelter, and he has joined us on July 1, 2020!

Thanks go to our Search Committee for their hard work in finding great candidates for our parish. If you wish to learn about this process for St. Jude’s, please click here.

Meet Our Search Committee

Scott Rotondo (Search Committee Chair)

I’ve been attending St. Jude’s with my wife and teenage son for about 5 years. In addition to Search Committee, I currently serve on Vestry and chair the Finance Committee. Outside of church, I’m also active in Scouting, where I oversee two Scouts BSA troops (one for boys and one for girls).

Karen LeBlanc (Search Committee Chair)

I am a Silicon Valley native and have been at St Jude’s for about 6 years. I was drawn to St. Jude’s as it felt like coming home. The Holy Spirit is alive in this place.  I am one of the Youth Mentors and I Co-Chair both Search committee and Web site committee.  One of my favorite events at St. Jude’s is Service Worship Sunday and I love feeding people. I work at Apple and love that the forest and ocean are a short car ride away.

Carolyn Bowker

I have been attending St. Jude’s for over 25 years.  My background as a (now retired) psychiatric nurse fits well with my current service as a volunteer chaplain with the mentally ill in the county jail.  At St. Jude’s, I serve as EM coordinator; lead/co-lead two Covenant groups; attend Bible study and weekly book group; serve on the Community (Adult) Forum committee, Memorial committee, and Intercessory prayer chain. My past service includes Vestry, Stewardship committee, Parish Life committee, Lay Reader coordinator, Eucharistic Visitor, Mission Covenant task group, and prior Search committee.

Mason Razavi

St. Jude’s is my first and only church, and I was baptized shortly after becoming a regular parishioner in 2009. My wife has been attending her whole life, and her recently relocated parents were pillars of the St. Jude’s community for decades. I’m a professional jazz guitarist and adjunct music professor and bring my perspective as a 30-something artist type to the search committee. I’ve previously served on Vestry, the profile committee, the Parish Survey Sub-Committee for the previous search, and sing in the choir.

Juliet Shearin

I’m currently attending Cupertino High School, and am the representative for youth on the Search Committee. I have been an active member of St. Jude’s since 2011, and have served as head of the Acolyte Ministry for almost two years. Outside of St. Jude’s, I represent my school in the Safe Routes to School working group, have earned a second-degree black belt, and recently finished a term as Cupertino Teen Commissioner. On the Rector Search Committee, I hope to find a rector who will help us broaden our connections inside the church to create a stable, larger parish.

Elizabeth Belles

St. Jude’s was revealed to us in 2013. We were reliable 8 o’clockers for about two years and then drifted to the periphery for health reasons. Since returning “full-time” to St. Jude’s in 2017, I assist ministries as projects come up and need support. Currently, I am a Greeter for the early service, participate in Small Dinner Groups, and serve on the Search Committee. The people at St. Jude’s are one of the highlights of my life. Professionally, I’ve taught middle school students for 21 years and still love my job.

Judy Foot

In 1974, my husband and I joined St. Jude’s, and our children were raised in the church. I am a member of the Altar Guild, Social Justice Outreach Committee, and recently served on the Parish Profile Committee. In the past, I taught church school and was co-coordinator, served as chair of the Social Justice Outreach Committee, and was Senior Warden. I am a retired teacher and currently, tutor dyslexic children.

Vance Nau

I am married with 3 grown children. I am an Air Force veteran and was awarded a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Illinois. We have been at St. Jude’s intermittently since coming to Silicon Valley in 1986.  Over the past 15 years I have served on the Site Planning committee through Phases 1, 2 & 3 to create a more ‘peaceful spiritual oasis’. I have also served on the Vestry and as Sr. Warden. I volunteer regularly with independent organizations, including Rebuilding Together and Habitat for Humanity.

Louise Marriott

I returned to St Jude’s in 2014 after a 20+ year absence while living in Arizona.  I love St Jude’s spirit and community that you can feel when you enter the church campus.  I am currently a Co-leader of the Altar Guild. I have been a member of the Relay for Life of Silicon Valley North. I will be in training soon to become a Eucharistic Visitor.
