Sunday Worship

We welcome you to our Sunday Services!

Oftentimes, children bring up the gifts to the altar.  St. Jude’s has an “open table” for bread and wine–all are welcome to join in.

✷  We have an in-person service which is broadcast live and recorded each Sunday at 10:30am from the St. Jude’s sanctuary.

✷  We also have a quieter, more contemplative 8:00am service held on our campus each Sunday.

✷  Our worship follows the Episcopal Church rhythm, the liturgical calendar, and usually the Revised Common Lectionary.

✷  We broadcast our service via Youtube, but you do not need to sign in to Youtube to watch. Find the link for each Sunday on our homepage.

✷  Join us for Coffee Hour afterward in our courtyard. We have coffee, tea, and snacks and great conversation!

Communion

✷  All are welcome to come forward to receive Communion of bread and wine, and/or to receive a blessing.

✷  Gluten-free Eucharist wafer are always available; please ask the priest. Please note that our wine is alcoholic.

✷  If you do not wish to receive Communion and prefer a blessing, cross your arms in front of your chest when the priest comes to you and you will receive a blessing instead.

St. Jude’s has safeguards in place for our indoor services and follows CDC, County Health and Diocesan protocols for Covid safety. We encourage but do not require wearing a mask for indoor services.

Rev. Aaron, our Rector, presides over the Eucharist at one of our summer outdoor services. Our courtyard is shady and cool.

Children and youth are welcome in worship! We will often have special moments just for them in the service.

✷ Children and Youth activities are led by our Associate Minister, Annalise Deal.

One of our Deacons, Rev. Robin Poppoff, is shown here preaching in person, but via the online livestream. Our 10:30am service is livestreamed each Sunday on Youtube (found here).

Sermons

Sermons are about 10 minutes long, biblically based, theologically progressive, and thought-provoking! Click one of the buttons below to watch videos of our services and hear some of the sermons from various clergy and guests.

Copies of the sermon text can be found below each video of the recorded service when they are available.

Music

Music during our worship is led by our Music Minister Cameron Clendaniel, and includes our choir, talented parishioner musicians and an organist/pianist.

We enjoy a range of music from traditional, Episcopal hymns to global and contemporary songs and instrumental music.

All are encouraged to sing along, whether in person or at home.

Our choir currently sings at our 10:30 services led by Music Minister Cameron Clendaniel and parishioner Matt Matthews. They practice weekly. For more information, or to join, contact Cameron.
